KATHERINE BOWEN
Roedd Katherine Bowen yn fenyw o ardal Dinbych-y-Pysgod yn Sir Benfro.
Nid oes llawer o’r papurau o’i hachos llys yn bodoli bellach, ond mae yna ddogfen sy’n datgan fod Katherine ‘drwy anogaeth y Diafol wedi defnyddio’r gelfyddyd gythreulig a elwir yn rheibio, cyfareddu, swyno a dewino yn Gumfreston ar Fehefin y pymthegfed ar hugain 1607.’ Dywedir ei bod wedi rheibio dyn o’r enw Richard Browning o Gumfreston, ac achosi iddo ddioddef colledion enbyd.

KATHERINE BOWEN
Katherine Bowen was a woman from the Tenby area of Pembrokeshire.
Although most of the papers from her court case no longer exist, there is a document that Katherine had ‘due to the encouragement of the devil, used the devilish craft to curse, enchant, and perform witchcraft in Gumfreston on the 15th of June 1607.’ It was said that she had cursed Richard Browning from Gumfreston, causing him to ‘suffer great losses’.
